Bomb Explosives found in NAIA-3 Parking Lot, 3 Suspects arrested.

Manila- The Philippine National Police (PNP) have arrested three suspects on attempting to plan bomb explosives at at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 3 (NAIA-3) Monday morning.

According to report made by ABS-CBN News that airport authorities recovered improvised explosive devices (IEDs) inside a dirty white Toyota Revo with plate number WMK 129 parked at NAIA T3 parking B. Aside from the IEDs found inside the car, a number of firearms were also seized from the suspects.

Meanwhile, despite of the news still, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) assured the public that NAIA T3 and all other terminals remain safe. Moreover, it has also mentioned that Authorities received specific bomb or terror threats - aside of NAIA, Bombers are planning also to plant an explosion in 1 shopping mall in Manila, 1 building in Makati, 1 Embassy and a construction company in the Metro.

 The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said that there is a heightened alert level in airports nationwide. The heightened alert status in the airports means that 50% of the security personnel have to be at their posts at any time.

“More likely this is an isolated case. The NBI is now investigating the case,” said PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac.

They will also schedule a press conference today September 2, 2014.
