Working harder to make the others richer.




"Is it hard looking after him?" she was asked.

Her forehead creased as her brows met, as if she didn't understand the question - or at least why the question was asked.

 "Dili uy (Nope)!" she said. "He's always lively - he eats anything, he laughs at little things, he's a joy to behold."

She looked at him as he started to giggle.

"Ang kinabuhi ang lisod (It's life that is hard)," she said, "for throwing stuff our way. Sige ta ug trabaho aron mudato ang uban. Kana ang lisod (We slave away to make other people rich. Now that's what's hard)."
